About Us
Starting the Mission
In 2017, SAKS Of Love was founded by Christina Leary, Executive Director, and her husband Lorenzo Leary, Operations Manager. SAKS is a community-funded organization combined of hard working local citizens in the counties we serve of Nacogdoches, Angelina, Shelby, Panola. The Leary’s became concerned about senior citizens lacking support to provide their personal care and household needs. They started taking pounds to the elderly throughout the community and visiting with them, which would lead into a greater mission of love. The more sacks that went out, eventually opened the door to serve other families in other counties. Over the years, SAKS has transformed into who we are today. We are neighbors joined together to bless and appreciate our community through many forms of love. SAKS Of Love, is a non-profit organization combined of community supporters in Angelina, Harris, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Smith, and Panola County. Our unified hearts and compassion for others are a reflection of the love God has given us.
We are not just another sack handed out! We are ”Sending A Kingdom Sacrifice Of Love“ and blessing our community in our own unique way.

How We Operate
We upgraded our SAKS Shack where we “Shed a lot of Love!” We are a little bigger now! Thank you community for your love and continued support! We are still working on the inside, but we are grateful!
All requests for assistance should be submitted through an email or by the electronic form on our website.
Elderly Outreach-Delivery Only
Deliveries are every two months. Our supplies are limited, if you miss our scheduled delivery date for that month, then you will be added to our waiting list if supplies are available. If supplies are not available then you will be added to the next outreach scheduled. Updates are shared on our Facebook page.
We only deliver to our elderly neighbors in the following counties and cities:
- Shelby County-Center, Timpson, Tenaha, Joaquin
- Nacogdoches County-Nacogdoches, Woden, Garrison, Martinsville, Douglass
- Angelina County-Lufkin
- Panola County-Carthage, Deadwood, Gary, Beckville
How do you qualify?
We bless according to the needs of the family. Although we cannot serve everyone, we are called to be a blessing to our community on a case by case basis. Qualifying for our services is to be a member of our community age 60 and above. Our main concern is our elderly neighbors but we will assist other family types within our capacity.
Income is a factor, but not a decision maker in this organization. As of now, we all qualify. The world is not as it was 3 years ago.
