In 2017, SAKS Of Love was founded by Christina Leary, Executive Director, and her husband, Lorenzo Leary, Operations Manager. What began as a simple act of compassion has grown into a community-funded organization made up of dedicated citizens serving the counties of Nacogdoches, Angelina, Shelby, and Panola.
The Learys became concerned about senior citizens who lacked support for their personal care and household needs. They began delivering sacks of essentials to elderly neighbors and spending time visiting with them with small acts that soon revealed a much greater mission of love. As more sacks went out, the doors opened to serve families in additional counties, and SAKS Of Love continued to grow.
Today, SAKS Of Love serves communities across Angelina, Harris, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Smith, and Panola counties. We are neighbors coming together to bless and uplift one another through many expressions of love. Our unified hearts and compassion reflect the love God has given us.
We are not just another sack handed out.
We are “Sending A Kingdom Sacrifice of Love”—embracing our community in our own unique and meaningful way.

We upgraded our SAKS Shack where we “Shed a lot of Love!” We are a little bigger now! Thank you community for your love and continued support! We are still working on the inside, but we are grateful!
All requests for assistance should be submitted through an email or by the electronic form on our website.
Elderly Outreach-Delivery Only
Deliveries are every two months. Our supplies are limited, if you miss our scheduled delivery date for that month, then you will be added to our waiting list if supplies are available. If supplies are not available then you will be added to the next outreach scheduled. Updates are shared on our Facebook page.
We only deliver to our elderly neighbors in the following counties and cities:

We bless according to the needs of the family. Although we cannot serve everyone, we are called to be a blessing to our community on a case by case basis. Qualifying for our services is to be a member of our community age 60 and above. Our main concern is our elderly neighbors but we will assist other family types within our capacity.
Income is a factor, but not a decision maker in this organization. As of now, we all qualify. The world is not as it was 3 years ago.
The Elderly Outreach is mobile food and hygiene pantry which is much needed in our community to support our immobile elderly citizens. There are plenty of outreaches but many of our elderly citizens cannot afford to travel or find the transportation needed to get to local outreaches. Citizens benefit from our services by first saving money to pay someone to take them shopping, and by avoiding physical mobility complications experienced while traveling to those areas.
This program recognizes outstanding citizens for their volunteer work in the community by highlighting their accomplishments within the community, and through local schools within the counties that we serve. Being named Best Charitable Organization, doesn't make us proud it motivates us to stay prepared, to serve the next neighbor with gentleness, and goodness. Each child is given a $500 scholarship along with a plaque and banquet to be celebrated along with their families. Each Senior Citizen that is recognized, is blessed with a plaque, gift, and an invitation to the banquet as well.
This program promotes mental health awareness within the community by hosting virtual learning classes and discussions. Classes are presented by professional volunteers and business owners within the community. Virtual reading nights are hosted by parents and their children.
This program is for families who cannot afford to purchase school uniforms, clothing, or shoes for their children. Clothing is also provided to families who have lost their homes due to house fires. Elderly can submit their need for clothing and shoes online.
Operation Heat is focused on elderly homes that have no source of heating, or alternate heating options in their homes. Our mission is to provide homes with small heaters, and other alternatives to keep our elderly neighbors warm during the winter. Our goal is to provide at least 100 heaters to distribute throughout Angelina, Nacogdoches, Shelby, and Panola counties.
This program provides Christmas gifts to senior citizens and children who may not be able to afford a meal or will not receive a gift during the holiday. We also assist families who cannot afford to bless their children with a gift for the season.

With gas prices fluctuating the cost of delivering to our neighbors is halting us from making deliveries as normal. With a gift of your choice sponsor our tank to help keep us visual in the communities we serve.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
